I’m sick of anti-pornographers like these Austrian activists that pick the wrong battles, and make anti-pornographers look like ignorant idiots. Apparently, Humer and around a 100 other supporters are trying to take down a crucifix that has been in the city for twenty years. This crucifix has a naked Jesus on it, and they feel that it is pornographic. The argument against them is clearly that the piece is a work of art. In my opinion, this is rightly so. Jesus may have been on the cross naked first of all, and second, nakedness doesn’t mean an art is meant to be sexually stimulating. I haven’t seen the art piece, so I can’t make a full judgment. However, in general only the most messed up of perverts would get a come on from a naked man being crucified. It is a scene of anguish, not sexual ecstasy. I feel the same way about the statue of David. That is not pornography. I couldn’t believe when I tried to place an image of this statue in a marketing piece, and was denied because of its sexual content. It’s this sort of anal attitude that keeps us from moving along further with non-christian communities.

It is hoped members will now be able to contribute more to furthering the organization’s goals, interact on a better level with one another, receive training, and field questions.
